Using MōVI M10 & Canon 1DC at the Redken Symposium
This week I was filming onsite shots for the 2014 Redken Symposium at London’s Olympia. Myself and Ian from Superduck were filming for the guys at CS Media and we decided it would be a great chance to test out the MōVI M10 and Canon 1DC capabilities. Added to the rig was a Small HD DP7 monitor and theRedrock Micro microRemote follow focus system (see pic below for the setup).
The whole rig worked great and we achieved some stunning shots. The DP7 gives pin sharp images so you never have to worry about focus and exposure, while the Redrock follow focus worked seamlessly attached to the right handle of the MōVI. As usual the 1DC produced superb images even though, due to the extremely tight turnaround of the edits, we only shot 1080p instead of 4K. See below for the highlights of the first day and check out Redken’s Youtube page for all the videos we produced over the 3 days.
